About the Artist

Don’t let the North Jersey accent throw you. Maybe it’s that unique combo of Grandma’s Kentucky DNA that helps Liz Miller slip into and out of Americana, Blues, and Rock with native ease.

The gravel in Liz’ deep voice would suggest a world weariness, yet her songs range from fun to awkward to profound.

Her biggest hit to date was an ad for a chicken breader. If you ask nicely, she will sing it for you!

An upbeat song co-written with Tom Stipe appeared in the HBO movie Dirty Driving and much to her surprise, a cast member wrote to her saying how much he loved the music. Of course she sent him the MP3.

Liz is one-half of the bi-coastal alt rock band "The Xconditionals" (formerly Unconditionals - good back story) whose first recording was nominated for a San Diego Music Award!

At the urging of several influentials, Liz Miller has finally decided to perform her own songs.  Her first solo artist CD, A Little Life,  was released October 2021. With a little help from her friends, the greatest players in the Philadelphia area, and the always astonishing Glenn Barrett at Morningstar Studios, the project exceeded all expectations.  Having been a nurse throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Liz created the cd for a balance between the insolation and the chaos of it all.

Her second solo effort, Halfway Home, was released April 2022 and received critical acclaim.  It was a fan favorite full of songs reflecting on other slices of life, geared towards the Americana and folk genres.  The title track was a struggle between love and a dream that can't exist in the same place.  Other favorites included Couch, which was a tribute to friends, and Big Love, which highlights that awkward moment when you run into an ex.

Her third CD, Lucky Me, capped a three-cd release party in May 2023 at the Living Room in Ardmore PA that celebrated coming back to live after the end of the pandemic.  Lucky Me was a swinging love song about being grateful for having the special someone in your life; Liz notes ADD as one of her favorite yet autobiographical tunes.  All That I Am is one of those classic standards that you'd hear in the background while dancing in the candlelight.

You can hear about Liz’s musical path on the "Tales of the Road Warrior" podcast, hosted by Hal Aaron out of Philadelphia. Both Liz Miller and The Xconditionals can be heard on WOS radio / podcast available on Apple Music.

Having projects in Jazz/Lounge, Alt Rock, Americana, and an Off Broadway Musical for new mothers, Liz Miller does it all and loves it all!
